Fissler – 180 years of culinary innovation
Since 1845, German brand Fissler has been shaping the history of premium cookware. From a small forge in Idar-Oberstein to its global reach, the company embodies six generations of family expertise. A heritage brand, Fissler blends tradition and modernity with high standards. Its new products will be presented at Maison&Objet on the Billiet stand, its distributor in France.

It all began with Carl Philipp Fissler, a young craftsman who created his first stewpot in a small workshop in Rhineland-Palatinate. Nearly two centuries later, Fissler is an international reference, employing 800 people and still owned by the same family. Known worldwide for its durable pots and pans, the brand has always stood for innovation. Over the past 70 years, it has filed more than 200 patents. From the invention of the famous “Vitavit” pressure cooker in 1953, to the latest generation of PFAS- and PTFE-free pans, Fissler has been a pioneer, making everyday cooking safe, creative, and enjoyable.
For Fissler, cooking is not just a technical act but “an act of love, sharing, and responsibility.” Its philosophy rests on four values: quality, durability, pleasure, and practicality. Every product is made with care in Germany from premium materials, with attention to reducing environmental impact and passing on a way of life. The company keeps a human focus: cooking means honoring ingredients, artisans, and guests.
Fissler is not anchored in the past. On the contrary, it continues to reinvent itself with rigor and consistency, without ever betraying its DNA. Its cookware collections show both creativity and the ability to meet diverse needs. The “Original-Profi Collection,” launched in 1973, remains a benchmark for both professional chefs and passionate cooks. The “Vitavit” pressure cooker, a true icon, celebrates its 70th anniversary this year with a refreshed identity and 1950s-inspired design. Attuned to today’s concerns, the brand created “Ceratal,” a PFAS- and PTFE-free range with an innovative water-based non-stick coating, perfectly suited for healthy cooking. Finally, with the “Pure Collection,” made from 90% recycled stainless steel, Fissler shows that innovation, sustainability, and design can go hand in hand.
