Jacob Jensen : the comeback
Based in Copenhagen, the Jacob Jensen studio continues the visionary heritage of its founder with a radically pure approach, centered on essentials. Faithful to its motto « Better design, for good », the brand embodies all the rigor and sensitivity of Danish design, where discreet beauty meets durable functionality. Distributed by the F&H Group, now a shareholder, Jacob Jensen creates designs that are sober, precise, and always conceived with everyday use in mind. This unique universe, to be unveiled in September at Maison&Objet, is led by Thomas Bennedsen, CEO and Creative Director.

A strong identity, a universal vision
Jacob Jensen returns today with a clear ambition: to reaffirm its identity and project its heritage into the present. After a period of transition, the brand has undertaken a strategic transformation to reconnect with its DNA – rooted in the art of turning the ordinary into the timeless. « We have launched a true reconstruction of the house, » explains Thomas Bennedsen. « It was about rediscovering the very essence of Jacob Jensen while breathing new strength into it, aligned with our times: more sustainable, more international, more human. »
The power of sober and timeless design
True to its Scandinavian roots, the studio advocates a sober and functional aesthetic, deeply connected to the environment. Inspired by the Danish landscapes, its creations celebrate transitions – between light and darkness, raw nature and daily use – to evoke a form of silent poetry. « It is in these zones of shadow that the magic of design is born, » adds Bennedsen.
Today, a dozen designers make up the Jacob Jensen team, all committed to continuing this heritage. Their mission: to design everyday objects as true companions – useful, meaningful, and lasting.
An international ambition
With over 100 international awards and 20 objects on permanent display at the MoMA in New York, Jacob Jensen holds a unique place in the history of contemporary design. But this heritage is not an end in itself: « It is not about freezing our past, but cultivating a way of living with a distinctive perception of beauty, » concludes Bennedsen.
