Paris Déco Home/Off 2026 when craft meets care
Founded in 2010 by Carole Locatelli and Hughes Charuit, Paris Déco Home/Off has, over the past fifteen years, established itself as one of the key fixtures on the Parisian calendar. Publishers, international interior design houses, prescribers and industry professionals come together around what has become an emblematic format: the coordinated opening of showrooms spread between the Right Bank—Place des Petits-Pères—and the Left Bank, with Place Saint-Germain and Place Saint-Sulpice as anchor points.

This strong identity also owes much to a deliberately close-knit and experienced team, whose in-depth knowledge of exhibiting brands and visitors ensures smooth, high-quality orchestration. For the 2026 edition, the event opens a new chapter with a philanthropic initiative conceived by its two founders: highlighting the intimate link between the creative hand and the healing hand. By partnering with the Société Française de Chirurgie de la Main (SFCM) and the Fédération Européenne des Services d’Urgence Main (FESUM / SOS Mains), Paris Déco Home seeks to raise awareness of the need to protect artisans’ hands and to support those who care for them when accidents occur. Behind every tapestry, piece of furniture, lighting fixture, textile, or crafted object lies a precise gesture—one whose mastery can disappear in an instant. The initiative is based on a clear observation: while France abounds in skilled craftspeople, it nevertheless suffers from a critical shortage of state-of-the-art equipment. More than forty next-generation microscopes—essential for hand surgery—are currently lacking nationwide, even though more than 290,000 patients are treated each year. The lack of equipment and resources makes the work of medical teams more complex, despite their role in restoring autonomy and a future to those whose livelihoods depend on the precision of a gesture. For the first time, the Paris Déco Home audience will be invited to contribute directly to this mission through a fundraising campaign aimed at purchasing equipment and financing specialised training. Visitors will be able to make a donation—even a few euros—by accessing a dedicated platform via a QR code displayed on various supports.

This meeting between two worlds—the one that creates and the one that repairs—opens up an original and deeply resonant perspective: a reminder that the hand is at once a tool, a legacy and an essential part of living heritage. By placing this theme at the heart of its next edition, Paris Déco Home/Off positions its action at the crossroads of culture, healthcare and transmission. And it affirms that protecting the hand means safeguarding far more than a profession: it is about preserving what connects craftsmanship, creation and the very humanity of the gesture.
