Long associated with winter meals, raclette is now broadening its scope. By developing a new generation of appliances and imagining new uses, Louis Tellier is moving this long-established category towards more contemporary consumption occasions. A strategy combining product innovation, merchandising and value creation for retailers.

How can consumer interest be renewed without abandoning the fundamentals that have made this category so successful? Louis Tellier is addressing this question by gradually reinventing the raclette experience. While remaining true to the codes that have built its popularity, the brand is expanding its offering to reflect new consumption habits and provide retailers with new ways to differentiate themselves. This momentum is underpinned by solid design and development expertise. Most Tellier raclette appliances are produced at the Tellier Group factory in Joué-lès-Tours, an industrial site that we visited, while the new Compact Pro appliance, developed by the brand’s teams, is manufactured by industrial partners. This command of the development process enables Louis Tellier to adapt its appliances to new uses, offer exclusive innovations and regularly expand its range, as illustrated by the new “Compact Pro” raclette appliance.
Named “Compact Pro”, this new appliance makes it possible to enjoy raclette more spontaneously without taking up too much space on the table. Designed for indulgent meals for two, it allows users to enjoy traditional raclette using a portion equivalent to one-sixth of a cheese wheel. A dinner for two, an evening in front of a film, an indulgent aperitif or an impromptu meal with friends all become opportunities to bring this speciality back to the centre of the table. Long associated with large winter gatherings, raclette can now be enjoyed on a wider variety of occasions throughout the year. Equipped with a heating element angled at 45°, the “Compact Pro” features a sliding cheese holder that gradually moves the cheese closer to the heating element as it is consumed, ensuring even melting. Its pivoting system makes serving easier, while the stainless-steel base and cheese holder are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Presented in a gift-style tube box, the new appliance measures 33 × 10/17 × 31 cm, has a power rating of 600 W and weighs 2 kg. Its recommended retail price will be €99.90 including VAT. Designed and developed by Louis Tellier, it is manufactured in Asia by an industrial partner.
The new appliance forms part of a range designed to meet a variety of uses. Appliances intended for family meals continue to cater for large gatherings, while the “Alpage” model, designed to melt half a cheese wheel, is equally suited to restaurants, cheese shops and specialist retailers. Louis Tellier is also continuing to develop its “Brézière”, designed for cheese portions ranging from one-quarter to one-sixth of a wheel. In 2025, this iconic model features a new coral finish combined with beechwood handles. Designed for professional-quality use, it caters for one to four people and is equipped with two height-adjustable heating elements and a control knob for switching the appliance on and adjusting the temperature. Its removable cheese holder, foldable structure with carrying handle, and stainless-steel and painted-steel construction make it easy to use and maintain. Recommended retail price: €220 including VAT. This segmentation enables Louis Tellier to address each use with a suitable and coherent offering. It also responds to the emergence of new consumption patterns inspired by the restaurant sector. Raclette is gradually moving beyond the traditional meal and finding its way into sandwiches, open sandwiches and street-food recipes. These preparations require appliances capable of scraping the melted cheese directly and open up new development opportunities among professional users.
