Since 1986, Vacu Vin has been developing high-performance, durable and elegantly designed accessories for every wine-tasting occasion. Forty years after revolutionising wine preservation with its iconic “Wine Saver”, Vacu Vin continues to expand its offering. Founded in the Netherlands, the brand is now present in more than 80 countries, with over 44 million “Wine Savers” sold worldwide. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, it will unveil its latest products at Maison&Objet, where it will have a dedicated space on the Bastide stand.

The story began in 1984 when, during a gathering, two Dutch brothers – one a wine merchant, the other an engineer – noticed that an opened bottle quickly lost its aromatic qualities. Two years later, the first “Wine Saver” was born, using vacuum technology to slow down the oxidation of wine.
A recent independent study shows that this preservation system can maintain the organoleptic qualities of wine for up to ten days after opening, confirming the performance that has built the brand’s reputation.
This founding product gave rise to a brand that has become an international benchmark for accessories dedicated to wine, champagne and, more recently, cocktails. Over the years, Vacu Vin has developed genuine expertise around the tasting experience.
Corkscrews, preservation systems, aerators, carafes, coolers, serving accessories and gift sets now make up a comprehensive offering, designed according to the principles of Dutch design, where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand. The products are manufactured in Europe, with particular attention paid to durability and manufacturing quality.
Innovation remains the driving force behind the brand. At Maison&Objet, Vacu Vin will have a dedicated space on the Bastide stand, where, alongside its new products for 2026, it will unveil two new gift sets designed to boost year-end sales.
“Wine Set Start” and “Wine Set Serve” bring together the brand’s essential accessories centred around its famous preservation system in gift-oriented presentations. The sets feature new, more premium and colourful packaging that is immediately identifiable on the shelf, designed to strengthen visual impact in-store and enhance the perceived value of each product.
The collection is also expanding with new wine coolers featuring “Sable” and “Jade” floral designs, a wine bucket made from 98% recycled plastic, a silver-finish wine and champagne cooler, new ready-to-install countertop displays, and a carafe drying stand.
The brand is also supporting the growth of the cocktail category with a new generation of spherical and cubed ice moulds, meeting the expectations of spirits and mixology enthusiasts.
Visitors to Maison&Objet will also have one final opportunity to discover and order the special-edition Keith Haring collection. Produced as a limited series, it will be permanently withdrawn from the catalogue once the remaining stock has sold out.
These launches form part of a broader strategy designed to support retailers throughout the year. Vacu Vin now develops its collections around key commercial occasions – the festive season, summer, barbecues, Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day – in order to provide gift solutions tailored to each season and encourage impulse purchases in-store.
The brand is reinforcing this strategy with a new generation of point-of-sale tools. Ready-to-use displays, new gift-oriented packaging, simplified communication and clearer product segmentation have been developed to meet changing consumer expectations while making retailers’ work easier.
